Rwanda Bound

I’m going to Africa (enter long pause here). I’m still trying to digest the words that I still haven’t said aloud. Jesus sent me a personal invitation to go on a mission trip to Rwanda. This wasn’t something I researched, prayed for or even dreamed about. Quite the opposite, really. I can’t even believe he thought to ask me, I hardly feel qualified. The good news is: Jesus qualifies us for his work and I believe this is no different. This was not in my plan or on my list of things to do but I’ve given God the reigns on my life which means I’ll go where he tells me and do what he asks.

I have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I amy remain obedient to your word. Psalms 119:101 NLT

Will you join with me in prayer for this amazing opportunity to serve Jesus through this trip?

I’ve heard about being “The hands and feet of Christ” but I’d never truly known what that meant. Over the past six months or so, I’ve come to have a clear definition of what the term. Through others, I’ve been moved to tears in the wake of their generosity and servants hearts…coming to my aid and praying for me all in the name of Jesus. Serving me with their whole hearts and giving of their resources. God has used friends and strangers to bless me in ways I still can’t fathom. Likewise, he’s allowed me to be the same to someone else. He’s allowed me to give of myself to others and not just those I know and love but complete strangers. It’s an exhilarating demonstration of the kind of love Jesus pours out over us on a daily basis. It’s not about what we deserve or earn, it simply about love. Something we all need, want and can never have or give too much of. So, in the name of love, in the name of Jesus, will you partner with me so that I may pour upon those who could use a little, or a lot of, extra love?

I know this is a big undertaking but we serve a BIG GOD. I trust him with everything and he can certainly handle this. I hope your generosity will be a part of this story. You can help in a few ways:

Pray: I could use your fervent prayers for me and the team who will be going to Rwanda. I will need specific prayer for provision, guidance, strength and whatever else Jesus leads you to pray for in regards to my personal needs and that of the team.

Or you can purchase this one of a kind tee:

Spread the word: The more people who know, the greater the support.

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
2 Corinthians 9:7 NLT

Thank you all for standing with me as I stand with Christ to affect a world of change.
